The domestic postal code is 18-156, and the international code is BM3064.

1. Content and Columns

This journal primarily reflects the latest scientific research achievements in the fields of chemistry and chemical engineering, introduces new developments and trends in domestic and international, and promotes the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into productive forces. The main content includes:

- Research on the basic theories of chemistry and chemical engineering;

- Development and application of new materials;

- Development and research of new catalysts and catalytic engineering;

- Improvement of traditional chemical processes and development of new process technologies;

- Design of reactors and analysis and simulation of chemical processes;

- Enhancement and transformation of traditional separation processes and equipment, and development of new separation processes;

- Development and application of environmental, biochemical, and pharmaceutical engineering.

The journal publishes research papers and review articles. The main columns include: "Chemical Reactions and Processes," "Chemical Engineering and Equipment," "Chemical Simulation and Computation," "Energy and Environmental Chemical Engineering," "Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering," and "Applied Technology."

Papers submitted to Chemical Industry and Engineering must not have been published elsewhere in any form and should have significant scientific or engineering value, with innovation (new ideas, methods, insights, discoveries, etc.). They must also conform to the standards of scientific writing.

2. Research Integrity

This journal is committed to upholding the integrity and authority of science. The journal will follow the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines (http://publicationethics.org/resources/guidelines) on how to deal with potential acts of misconduct.

2.1 Integrity

The submitted articles must be original content that has not been (entirely or partially) published before. Multiple submissions of the same manuscript are not allowed. Proper citations must be made to distinguish between the work of others and one's own. Data manipulation or fabrication is strictly prohibited. The editorial office will conduct a plagiarism scan before accepting the manuscript.

2.2 Authorship

Authors should:

1. Participate in the selection of topics and design, or in the analysis and interpretation of data;

2. Draft or revise the key theoretical aspects or other main content of the paper;

3. Be able to review and revise the manuscript according to the editorial office's suggestions;

4. Be responsible for the integrity of all aspects of the research work, in addition to their own contributions.

Individuals who only participated in obtaining funding, collecting data, or providing general management for the research group should not be listed as authors. Those who do not qualify as authors but have contributed to the paper may be acknowledged in the "Acknowledgments" section at the end of the article.

The order of authors should not be changed once the manuscript is accepted.

2.3 Medical Ethics and Informed Consent

When the subject of the paper involves human research, the procedures followed should be stated to conform to the ethical standards set by the committee responsible for human experimentation (institutional, regional, or national). The committee's standard document and the informed consent form from the subjects or their relatives should be provided.

2.4 Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the research at the time of submission, such as financial interests or other relationships that may pose a conflict.

2.5 Funded Projects

If the research involved in the paper is part of a national or provincial-level fund or key project, the project name and number should be noted on the first page of the article. The project name should be filled in according to the official name specified by the relevant national departments. Multiple funds should be listed in sequence, separated by semicolons. For example: "Funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (30271269); National High-Tech R&D Program (2003AA205005)."

2.6 Copyright

After the manuscript is accepted, all authors should sign a "Copyright Transfer Statement," transferring the rights to reproduce, distribute, disseminate information through networks, translate, compile, and other rights for all language versions of the paper to the publisher of Chemical Industry and Engineering worldwide.

3. Writing Requirements

The article should have clear viewpoints, reliable data, rigorous logic, and a concise structure. The use of multiple layers of headings should be avoided. Text and figures should be concise, providing a large amount of information in a limited space. The discussion should be easy to understand and clearly expressed. Professional terms should be defined, and symbols, abbreviations, or acronyms should be fully spelled out when first mentioned. Non-standard abbreviations should be defined and explained. The writing should be simple and comprehensible, avoiding excessive use of mathematical models, derivations, or overly technical jargon.

The title is the essence of the article and should be concise, accurate, and informative. It should be closely related to the theme, attract readers' interest, and facilitate retrieval. Avoid using vague titles and preferably avoid words like "…study," "…significance," "…discovery," "…characteristics," etc. Uncommon characters, symbols, formulas, and abbreviations should be avoided as much as possible. Generally, the title should not exceed 20 Chinese characters or 20 English words.

Both Chinese and English information for authors and their affiliations should be provided. Each author listed in the paper should have made a substantial contribution to the work and be responsible for the arguments and data presented. The listed affiliations must be the actual units where the research was conducted. The full name of the unit, along with the city name and postal code, should be provided. If authors belong to different units, use superscript numbers to indicate the sequence of the units and provide the corresponding email address of the corresponding author.

The corresponding author should ensure that all authors agree with the authorship and the order of authors, guarantee the scientific nature of the article, and ensure that the manuscript has not been submitted elsewhere.

The abstract plays a crucial role in guiding readers to read the full text, so it should reflect the main points of the paper and summarize the purpose, methods, results, and conclusions of the research in a way that can be understood independently of the full text. Avoid using overly specialized vocabulary, special symbols, and formulas.

Keywords should be closely related to the theme of the article and should use standardized terms whenever possible, generally 3 to 6 in number.

Funding information should list the sources of funding and include the project approval numbers. For example: "Supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (30271269) and the National Basic Research Program of China (30271269)."

The introduction should briefly review the history and current state of research on the scientific issues involved in this paper, introduce relevant theories or research backgrounds, and cite related references, especially those from the past 2 to 3 years. The research purpose and innovation points should be clearly stated, and the problems to be addressed in this paper should be proposed based on this. Finally, the methods and technical means used in this study should be briefly described. Avoid deliberately omitting relevant literature.

The experimental section should describe how the research was conducted, including materials, methods, and detection techniques. Since the results and discussions of the entire paper are based on this, it should be clearly written. The materials and methods should mainly explain the materials used in the research, the methods, and the basic process of the research. The description should be simple and clear, citing relevant references to demonstrate the reliability of the research and to allow peers to verify the experiments based on the content of this paper.

The results and discussion section is the essence of the article and should be written in detail. Avoid making it a mere experimental report that only lists results without discussion. The data should be presented concisely and reasonably, the experimental results should be summarized objectively, and the reasons for the results and the problems in the research should be discussed and analyzed. Comparisons with other related research results should also be made.

The conclusion should summarize the experimental results, point out existing problems, and predict future research directions.

References should be cited using the sequential numbering system for in-text citations and post-text recording, that is, numbered in the order of citation in the text. The sequence number should be enclosed in square brackets and placed at the top right corner of the text where the reference is mentioned. The proper citation of references is one of the important criteria for evaluating the quality of a paper. The main references related to this research, especially those from the past 3 to 5 years, should be cited in the paper. Authors should have carefully read all the references cited and verified the authors, titles, publications, years, volumes, and page ranges without error. Avoid the irresponsible practice of citing second-hand literature. The specific recording format should be implemented according to the provisions of GB/T 7714—2022 *Information and Documentation—Rules for the Bibliographic Reference*.
